On February 9th, Flourish students participated on our annual Composition Festival, held at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Students wrote and performed songs for piano, guitar, voice, violin, and cello, with titles such as “Secret Agent” and “The Great Eagle”. Great fun was had by all!
Guest composer Rory Cowal shared comments with the students and encouraged them to continue writing their own music.
He then presented his own composition, performed through audience participation – the “Academy Round”.
