My Background: My musical journey began when I was ten years old in Cartagena, Colombia. In 2013, I moved to the United States to pursue a Music Performance degree at Northwestern State University of Louisiana on a full scholarship. Later, I earned a master’s degree in Music Performance from Florida State University under the mentorship of Dr. Pamela Ryan. Currently, I am immersed in my doctoral studies in Music Performance at the University of Northern Colorado, guided by Dr. Mathew Dane.

Beyond my performances, I am passionate about music education. I seek to inspire my students and instill in them the values of mindfulness and discipline, qualities that transcend into personal growth.

What I love about music: Music has a way of speaking to our hearts and can evoke so many emotions. To me, music represents community, discipline, and love.

One way I help students succeed and flourish: I am very passionate about supporting students’ growth and success. To achieve this, I prioritize creating a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and connecting to their feelings and emotions.

Performance Experience: I am a professional violist and have played in orchestras and string quartets across the United States and Colombia for the last ten years. My orchestra experience includes the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, Fort Collins Symphony, International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico, Pensacola Symphony, Tallahassee Symphony, among others. Currently, I am a member of the Ursa String Quartet and the Dream Jazz Quartet.
