Open House Recap

Saturday February 15, 2020

On Saturday, February 8th, we held our first big event at the new location – an Open House!

We were thrilled with the turnout. Current students and their families attended, as well as many new families interested in music lessons.

Our teachers ran an “Instrument Petting Zoo”, where current and potential students had the chance to try out piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, violin and cello. Those who completed the petting zoo were entered into hourly prize drawings, and we had many winners who went home with gift certificates to local businesses!

In the hallway, we displayed the compositions of our current students. We’re so impressed with all the creativity shown through these projects! Students received comments from local composer, Justino Perez, who evaluated compositions and gave a presentation at the Open House.

In our largest room, the Aspen Studio, we held student performances throughout the day. This included original compositions and group performances!

At the end of the day, we did our Grand Prize drawing for one month FREE tuition at Flourish! The winner was Athena Yanes, a current piano student at Flourish. Congratulations, Athena!

THANK YOU to everyone who attended our Open House! We’re so happy to be in a bigger, better location, and we’re excited to grow our school even more.
