On Saturday, December 12, we held our annual holiday recitals.
This year, our theme was “Christmas Cabaret”. Flourish teachers treated students to a pre-recorded performance of our version of “Cabaret” (the song), and we all dressed in fancy outfits to fit the theme!
We loved seeing everyone’s holiday decorations and outfits! More importantly, we heard some really stellar performances on piano, voice, violin, cello, and guitar. We heard classic Christmas songs like “Jingle Bells” and “Up on the Housetop”, as well as some winter-themed pieces like “Snowflake Rag” and “Sweater Weather”.
After the performances, we recognized students who leveled up in the Achievement Program OR started new at Flourish since May. Each of these students received a t-shirt in the color of their level, which they were able to pick up the day before the recital.

We also put on a scavenger hunt for the students! They had four minutes to search their homes for the item; this included an object that could be used as a shaker, a family member who plays an instrument, and more. We had 16 winners, listed below! We also gave parents an opportunity to leave us a review and be entered into a drawing for a month of free lessons, along with one student who won a free month of lessons just for attending the recital; those winners are also listed below.
SCAVENGER HUNT WINNERS:
Eduardo A, Dylan F, Sam G, Jocelyn J, Noah M, Mick M, Kayla M, Addie M, Sam N, Evie N, Reymundo O, Angel P, Sarah R, Jason V, Paul W, and Kendall W
Each winner will receive (via US mail) a gift certificate to Eileen’s Cookies!
Winners of the 1 month (January) of FREE LESSONS:
Adrian L and Dean D
CONGRATULATIONS to all of our students! We’re so proud of the hard work you’ve put in this year, as well as your ability to adapt to online lessons. We have all persevered!
