Read more about Carter in the interview below.

How long have you taken voice lessons?

I have been taking voice lessons since winter.

What do you love about singing?

I love learning how to make my voice better. I love singing because it’s my favorite way to worship God!

We’ve been doing online lessons for over a month! How has your experience been? What are some differences and/or benefits?

Since online lessons have started, I have felt more challenged, but that may just be the songs I am working on. I do miss lessons in person, but Flourish uses Zoom or FaceTime to make sure we can see our teachers’ faces. It makes a world of difference. It’s really taught me to become more adaptable, and given me more time to focus on the small details of a song!

What do you like about Flourish?

I love the encouragement that Flourish and my coach gives me. I have heard great progress in my voice, and I am so exited to see more!

What else do you like to do?

I like community service, spending time with my friends, and dancing!
