David is currently studying guitar under the guidance of Mr. Teague Bechtel. David is part of his school Jazz band. He has won two auditions to perform a solo with the band. He played this past October 16th and he will also perform a solo in the Spring. David is continuously working hard to improve and to gain confidence.

How long have you taken guitar lessons?
I have taken 3 years of guitar lessons.
What do you love about playing the guitar?
I love that I can play many genres of music. Also, I love that I can accompany other instruments and also voice.
You play in your school jazz band and won an audition to play a solo in a concert. What is an obstacle you had to overcome for this achievement?
I was working on having more confidence while I play, and I accomplished that.
What do you like about Flourish?
I like that I have a great teacher and be able to work with other talented students.
What else do you like to do?
I also like to play sports and be involved in school activities.
