STUDENT SPOTLIGHT – Natalie Knostman

Sunday September 1, 2019

This month, we’re excited to feature voice student Natalie Knostman!

Natalie takes voice lessons with Ms. Julie Koenig at Flourish. She just started her sophomore year at Windsor Charter Academy.

She has already accomplished two huge goals: she was recently cast as Anna in the Stampede Troupe’s production of Frozen Jr., as well as Candy in her school’s production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest!

Natalie is also involved in jazz choir, concert choir, and the improv troupe “Watch This”.

Here is a little bit more about Natalie:

How long have you taken voice lessons?
About 3 years.

What do you love about singing?
It really gives me a chance to express myself. Sharing it with other people makes me happy – it’s so much fun!

How did you prepare for your Frozen Jr. audition?
Most of my preparation involved taking my teacher’s notes home and using those to practice. Lots of repetition!

What do you like about Flourish?
All the teachers I’ve met here are amazing! They’re very attentive and give you feedback on how you can grow.

What else do you like to do?
Theatre, dance, and college classes at Aims.
