STUDENT SPOTLIGHT – SARYN WOLFE

Thursday August 30, 2018

Saryn begun playing the violin in January. She is currently studying violin under the guidance of Ms. Belén Hernández. Saryn played her first recital only after a few months of playing the instrument. She shared with us her experience of overcoming fear and performing at the Red Carpert Showcase in May. Her strong love for the instrument continues to give her motivation and joy!

Here is a little more about Saryn:

Violin, 4th grade, Ann K. Heiman Elementary.

How long have you taken violin lessons?

Since January of this year (8 months).

What do you love about playing the violin?

EVERYTHING!!  My personal favorite is that I love the sound it makes.

You just played in public for the first time at the Red Carpet Showcase only after a few months of lessons. What is an obstacle you had to overcome for this achievement?

Being nervous and afraid. After I did it, though, I felt appreciated.

What do you like about Flourish?

I mostly like the people at the front desk, the teachers, and all the instruments.

What else do you like to do?

I like to play with my kitties and doggies, and play my violin.
