This month, we’re excited to feature Yadira Baeza!
Yadira, an eighth grader in homeschool, is currently studying voice under the guidance of
Ms. Julie Koenig. She also plays piano and has taught herself to play guitar. Yadira recently opened her YouTube channel. She enjoys recording some of her favorite songs. Listen to her sing and play a cover of Shawn Mendes’ “Mercy”.
How long have you taken voice lessons?
I have taken voice lessons for about a year and a half.
What do you love about singing?
It allows me to express myself. It’s my life.
You have your own YouTube channel and like to record covers of your favorite songs. What are the obstacles you had to overcome to accomplish this?
First, I had to get my parent’s permission. Then I had to learn things like what to post, how to post, how to make a thumbnail, and all that tech stuff.
What do you like about Flourish?
It’s professional, friendly, and fun. It taught me how to love music.
What else do you like to do?
I like to plant outside with my family.
